Welcome to Holt Baptist on line!
We are an
independent Bible-teaching church that desires to see people
come to a relationship with the living God through faith in
Jesus Christ. The church is God's tool to help believers become
fruitful disciples of Christ for God's glory. HBC is
in the last stretch of a strategic three year plan that began
in 2008 having completed over 30 initiatives so far - but there's
more to be done!

Church Matters
 Is
the local church important? The Apostle Paul's answer is
that the church is God's custodian of the truth. We are to
guard the truth of God and to insure that it is passed on to
a new generation. The church upholds this truth much like a
statute on a pedestal. Paul writes about these issues to his
lieutenant in the faith as he seeks to help Timothy
establish order at the church of Ephesus. Church Matters is
an expository series on the first letter to Timothy. A new
generation of Timothys is needed to apply God’s truths in
the 21st Century church. 1 Timothy provides for us the
essential qualities of a true, biblical ministry today. |
