A Moment With Pastor Fred
8/23/19
I believe in our Sunday School and Adult Bible Fellowship ministry. I think they are important. I hope you don’t look at them as electives. You know in college you had electives you could take if you wanted. They had nothing to do with your major but were “take it” or “leave it” add on’s. Yes, I understand some cannot attend due to health-related matters. You have a legitimate excuse. But if you don’t fall into that category – I would encourage you to have your kids attend SS and you come to ABF this fall.
I appreciate Cindy Price, Starla Ordiway beginning a pre-school class for SS. Kelly Troxell and Julie Rizzardi teach the elementary grades. Joe Hart and Dave Drullinger are teaching our teens this fall. For the adults – in the past we’ve had 11-12 week series but we’re changing the format up – shorter series with a wide variety of topics. I will teach 4 lessons from the book of Ruth in September. I do my best to change my teaching method – not monologue but dialogue – allowing class members to ask questions or make comments. Eric Perkins and Paul Krepps will teach later in the fall – October thru December on different topics. We try our best to offer a wide range of topics and book studies.
Sitting under the teaching of God’s Word is never wasteful. Please consider making the 9:30 teaching time slot a matter of importance. After all, worship at HBC really begins at 9:30.
