A Moment With Pastor Fred
Our Annual Church Meeting is scheduled for next Sunday. Before business we’ll have a potluck luncheon here in the auditorium. A sign up list is posted on the table in the foyer. We’re asking each to bring one dish to pass. After the service we’ll break down the chairs and bring in tables for the meal. It usually takes only 30 minutes to set everything up. This is always a great time of fellowship.
In our business meeting we need to vote on our 2022 proposed budget, some other capital improvements needing to be made. Various church officers need to be voted on as well. While we want our meetings to run efficiently, we don’t want them to drag. We want them though to be informative and helpful to the congregation. In the past we’re usually out the door with the auditorium reset before 2 pm.
I want to thank John Helmuth and the finance team for all their hard work in putting the proposed budget together. It is a pain-staking task I assure you. We as a church have much to give thanks. Last year’s giving was tremendous. Thank you for your faithfulness. God has been kind to give to us business meetings with a sweet and gracious spirit.
May our good and great God continue to bless HBC in this coming year.
