A Moment With Pastor Fred
Easter is coming! Technically every Sunday is Easter. It is on the first day of the week we commemorate the resurrection of Christ. I hope you’re making plans to be here April 9. It will be a glorious morning you won’t want to miss it.
First, we have our annual Easter breakfast at 9:15 am. The auditorium will be set up with tables for us to enjoy a delicious meal. There’s a sign-up list on the table in the foyer. Let us know how many in your party will be coming so we can set up the adequate number of tables. This is probably my favorite potluck.
Around 10ish we will re-arrange the auditorium for our service at 10:30 am. Great music will be heard along with a special children’s play about Christ’s resurrection. I will preach a simple gospel message on the resurrection.
Within your bulletins is an invitation card we are asking you to give to a family member or friend inviting them to Easter. Asking them to come for breakfast is a wonderful incentive for them to attend the service following. “Can I invite you to breakfast and then to attend our Easter service at church April 9?” Holidays make church invitations so much easier. Let’s capitalize on this day to use it to see many come to hear the good news.
Let’s get ready – “He is Risen!”
“He is risen indeed.”
