A Moment With Pastor Fred
Spoiler alert.
We’ve all come across such warnings. We had some folks over after church one night for fellowship. One man said to everyone, “Don’t talk about the Lion’s today – I’m recording the game.” To which another guest blurted out, “Oh you don’t want to watch that – they got creamed.”
Yikes.
Maybe you said you’re interested in watching a certain movie only to have someone spoil the ending. Sometimes I ask Susan if we can fast forward a contest we’ve recorded on TV to ease the tension. She says “no.” That would ruin the fun. Maybe you’ve been tempted to read the last chapter in a book which has you on edge.
But I do have a spoiler alert that will help us – Jesus wins. I don’t know what you might have gone thru this past week. We all deal with heartaches. Sin makes a mess of things. But in the end when it’s all over and done – Jesus wins. Rest in that truth. Skip to the end. In your heart be thankful we know how it all ends.
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Rev 21:3-4.
