A Moment With Pastor Fred
What are the non-negotiables for Holt Baptist Church? Our methods of operation have changed over the years but what are we unwilling to change? We’ve rehearsed these in the past. Let me remind you of them again.
- God-Centered Worship, Rom 15:5-6. Elements of corporate worship would include: singing, prayer, instruction, giving, godly encouragement, communion and baptism.
- Doctrinally Sound Teaching, 2 Tim 4:1-2. We are committed to teaching and preaching based on God’s Word, not human opinion.
- Sanctifying Relationships, Heb 10:24-25. We see this fleshed out especially in our small group ministry.
- Servant Leadership, 1 Pet 5:2-3. Elders and deacons are called by God to serve the church family with their varied responsibilities.
- Biblical Evangelism, Ac 1:8. We support missions around the globe and we also seek to do missions in the greater Lansing area thru personal evangelism.
“Methods are many, principles are few. Methods always change, principles never do.” We as a church are committed to these “non-negotiables.” It is what makes the church what we believe to be a New Testament assembly.
