Just a Moment
Happy Birthday America! I am thankful God in his goodness created me as a citizen of this nation. Today’s service is designed to be a time where we can give thanks to the Lord for the blessings of our country. Patriotic songs have a place in parades or rallies so our songs today as the church focus on God and his goodness.
Please stay after the service for our annual picnic. Due to the weather forecasts and the air quality of this past week we decided to hold the service and picnic inside. We’ll need help setting up tables. It always goes rather quickly for our potlucks. Special thanks to Paul Recher for smoking the pork for lunch and to Sue Depoorter and her team for organizing the meal.
The last two weeks have been very busy around here with the painters. After the potluck we could use help moving my desk out of my office. Ladies, we could also use some help clearing out materials in the copy and counseling rooms. We had to delay moving these things because we needed the tables for our potluck today. So, if you can stay a little after the meal, it would be greatly appreciated. Carpet will begin being installed in the offices and hallway July 10; the foyer and auditorium July 17.
I certainly appreciate all those have donated their time to help with some of these behind-the-scene endeavors. It has been a tad complicated at times but all has gone smoothly. I know we all are excited to see the completed project in a few weeks.
