Just a Moment…

Jesus loves the little children,

All the children of the world,

Red and yellow, black and white,

They are precious in his sight,

Jesus loves the little children of the world.

I am thankful for Child Evangelism Fellowship’s Five Day Club which will be held next week (July 17-21). I hope our church kids participate as well as neighborhood children. This isn’t sanctified baby-sitting, but fulfilling the Great Commission in our Jerusalem. Special thanks to Cindy Price for organizing this event. Please see her if you can be of help.

Statistics indicate the majority of people come to Christ before they reach the age of 21. Polycarp, the disciple of John the Apostle was born again at 9. Jonathan Edwards – greatest intellect of the American pulpit was saved at 7. Matthew Henry the great commentator came to Christ at age 11. RA Torrey, second president of Moody Bible Institute said, “Whatever your church does, let it do its full duty by the children.” 

Yes, we will be careful about extracting premature professions. The Gospel must never be “watered-down” for kids. But Jesus said children can be saved. Remember – it is God who saves, not us. We sow the seed.  Would you pray for our 5-Day Club?  I mean really pray? May we ask the Lord of the harvest to produce fruit for his glory.
