A Moment With Pastor Fred

It is important that we as believers develop a Christian worldview. It’s hard to sift thru the news whether liberal or conservative – there’s always a secular bent. Enter Al Mohler  and a daily online program called “The Briefing.” It usually lasts around 25 minutes.

Dr. Mohler has been the president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY, since 1993. He is probably one of the most articulate Christian thinkers of our time. He is brilliant but most importantly his compass points to the authority of God’s Word. How does our faith intersect with culture? The Briefing can and will help. 

The Briefing is a daily analysis of news and events from a Christian world view. Mohler tackles a number of various topics each weekday and takes the time to answer questions by listeners. I find him gracious while maintaining an unwavering commitment to biblical truth. I don’t always have time – but when I do, I have benefitted and learned by listening. And no, I don’t always agree, but Mohler will definitely make you think – and think biblically which is important. 

I would encourage you to listen to The Briefing. Try it out and see if it helps you sort thru controversial and current matters of the day. We need to keep our biblical grid in place in a day where Scripture is being attacked, and our faith is being mocked. 2 Cor 10:5, We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.
