A Moment With Pastor Fred
12/20/19
Merry Christmas! I trust you are getting ready for this week’s celebration of the Lord’s birth. We conclude our Christmas mini-series from Isaiah’s prophecies about the coming Messiah – today is about his glorious coming kingdom! Our study in James will resume January 5.
If you’re in town Tuesday, please come to our Christmas Eve Service at 5pm. Christmas carols, Scripture reading and a brief gospel message will be included. We’ve scheduled it early enough so your evening can still include special family time.
Please invite any guests you might have at home. The service won’t last more than an hour – guaranteed. Due to the nature of this service we will not have child-care or nurseries. Feel free to bring children into the auditorium with you. Amos Peck, son of Jan and Colleen will speak. Amos is a student at Southern Seminary in Louisville.
As we enter into the holidays let’s not allow them to become a holidaze! This week and next recommit to living under the Spirit’s control. If we walk in the Spirit we’ll produce the spiritual fruit of: love, joy, peace, patience, etc. Let’s make this Christmas and New Year’s truly occasions for celebration for the glory of God and the good of our souls. Don’t forget to pick up one of the daily Bible reading schedules for 20202 on the kiosk too.
Have a blessed holiday.
