A Moment With Pastor Fred
June 11, 2020
I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord!” (Ps 122:1). Of course, we know the house of the Lord for the OT saint was different than today. Technically each believer is the house of the Lord. God dwells in us. But the sentiment is ever-so true, especially today. We are back. We are here worshiping the Lord.
I for one have asked the Lord to forgive me for taking for granted the years of meeting each Sunday. It is much more precious to me now – and I’m sure you agree. Yes, things are a little different – but the joy of being together cancels out those changes for me. And we pray in time – sooner than later, we will be able to pretty much go back to the way things were.
Little did anyone know we would be doing an online service for 13 weeks (we are still going to livestream the service). Special thanks to Don Green who faithfully came and recorded each service. This has been a learning curve for all of us – and we’re still learning. Our appreciation to Sue who carried the music alone during this time. It wasn’t by choice but in keeping the guidelines we were given. Thanks too for Doug Troxell in editing the Five with Fred – something which we will continue to do through the summer at least.
