A Moment With Pastor Fred
Thank you church family for your support in our facelift project – painting and carpeting. Last month the congregation voted to paint the auditorium, hallway and foyer. Our painters feel this should be done within two weeks so bear with us during this time. Painting begins next Monday. The speakers for the organ behind the platform no longer are used. That will be drywalled and the old projector screen removed making the front of the auditorium look much fresher. Those walls will be painted with an accent color. Next Sunday after the service we will need some help removing some things from the auditorium. If you can stick around to help it shouldn’t take very long – maybe 30 minutes.
Carpet has been ordered and will be installed on July 10. That too will require removing items from the auditorium one week – and all office furniture another week.
The new color scheme is intended to freshen up our building – after all it was painted and carpeted 27 years ago. We certainly are appreciative of the buildings God has given to us.
Funds for this project came from our church savings. Thanks to our finance team who has been very strategic in crossing off items needing to be done. Special thanks to you too for your faithful giving which has allowed us to have such funds in savings – not to mention your support during a time of transition and change. Churches have split over such matters. God has been merciful giving us a sweet spirit here and you are to be commended.
