A Moment With Pastor Fred

It’s FALL IN SUNDAY!  I love the fall season. Maybe it’s because I equate the fall with a new beginning – probably going back to when I started a new grade in school. The summer is over and a new chapter begins. Today we resume Sunday School and Adult Bible Fellowships, as well as a new expository series in 2 Kings. Tonight is Fall Fest!

Please plan on attending tonight. Special music, games, a bouncy-castle, free donuts and apple cider will be offered. Two Men and a Grill (food truck) will be set up where you can purchase burgers, sandwiches, etc.  We all will be the unofficial greeters tonight. Don’t just talk to our church friends – mix and mingle. It all begins at 4 pm. This year we’re going to have a brief gospel presentation too.

We as a church are also in discussion about a new strategic plan. These 3-year plans have been instrumental for HBC. A brief survey was emailed to the church family this week – and a paper survey is available on the kiosk. It won’t take long to fill it out – your comments are important to us.

Small Groups resume next Sunday or the week following. If you haven’t landed in a small group, please see me. Last week we announced our new children’s mid-week ministry beginning September 30 from 6:30-8pm. See Pastor Anthony if you can help.
