A Moment With Pastor Fred
10/12/18
Trunk-n-Treat has proven to be one of our greatest outreach ministries. Last year 1000 people walked through our church parking lot on Halloween night! This outreach is designed to be more low-key – but the fact they are here at the church is a goal fulfilled. Church information is always available too. This is a positive testimony for our church in our community.
If you haven’t signed up to “host” we need more volunteers.
Decorate your trunk, come in costume. We’ve had some pretty creative trunks and volunteers in the past two years.
Remember, nothing ghoulish – no witches or devils, etc. We want it very family-friendly. Maybe you can’t participate on the actual night, but we need bags and bags of candy brought to the church. There’s a box designated “trunk-n-treat” in the foyer.
Due to his work schedule, Randy Barton is passing the baton off to Matthew Price this year. Matthew will need assistance in getting the flood lights, extension cords, refreshments (last year we had hot chocolate). Let Matthew know if you can be of help. Please make this a matter of prayer. Each Halloween night I have had individuals tell me over and over again how thoughtful and nice it is for our church to do this. But we need lots of help!
Don’t forget to sign up for a trunk to host!
