A Moment With Pastor Fred
Think with me of how much time we devote to various activities each week – working, sleeping, eating, hobbies, social media time, etc. I don’t think an hour of worship accompanied by 45 minutes of Bible teaching is excessive.
Next week our regular Sunday School classes for boys and girls and teens resume – along with two adult Bible classes. Our children are going through the entire Bible systematically. How important it is for them to hear the Bible taught at their age level. Susan and I are thankful our parents took us to Sunday School when we were children. Our teens are beginning a new series on apologetics – how to defend their faith. Special thanks to Matthew, Cindy Price and Joe Hart teaching in SS.
Two choices are available for adults beginning next Sunday. In the auditorium I will teach a one-time lesson on how we got our English Bible. The ladies have an option of attending a class discussing the book, “As Silver Refined” (same study on Tuesday nights). You will need to purchase a copy of the book to read during the week. Dave Santos will report on his ministry in Brazil October 8, and then the 15th we will begin a series in Romans with several of our men assisting me.
Special thanks to those who serve in our nurseries during this time. As I’ve said before, this isn’t sanctified babysitting but a vital ministry. If you can help – see Julie Rizzardi.
The breakfast nook provides some refreshment prior. Help by volunteering to bring a treat or donuts. This is a great time to interact with warm fellowship.
