A Moment With Pastor Fred
Thank you. Thank you for the privilege to shepherd this flock. I would be remiss for not expressing my appreciation to you. A week ago, we had a wonderful service at Covenant Life in Lansing – our sister church which we’ve enjoyed mutual fellowship for a long time on Good Friday. This year we invited a new church plant, Grace Church to join us. It was a blessing seeing so many from HBC participate in this service. Thank you.
Thank you for the delicious breakfast last Sunday. Sue Depoorter and her team did a super job decorating and preparing for our meal. Thankful for those who attended and brought food. We even had to set up an additional tables. I love this potluck.
I am thankful to those of you who donated lilies to decorate our auditorium. Thank you to those who invited others to come – to those who invited but no one came. You made the invitation. That’s important. Others of you invited folks and they came! We had one of our best attendances last Sunday in many years. Thank you.
Thank you choir for your ministry, to the musicians, sound- booth team, greeters, etc. I am thankful to our custodian, Jim Carter for having our building so nice and clean. I am most thankful to the Lord for blessing us with perhaps one of the best Easter services I can remember. Today is another day. Every Sunday in a sense is a day we commemorate the resurrection. We aren’t called to “top” last Sunday. That’s impossible. We are called to be faithful in our worship – and that’s why we’re here. What a privilege to gather as God’s people week after week to express our love to him in corporate worship. I am thankful for that as I know you are too.
