A Moment With Pastor Fred
9/27/19
I love the quote I saw on a recent Facebook page, “Church is not something you go to. It’s a family you belong to.”
Our updated website emphasizes the family feeling we have here. We strive for such an atmosphere. It takes work and prayer. With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace, Eph 4:2-3.
One way family is encouraged is by having opportunities for us to get together outside of the four walls of the auditorium.
Saturday, October 5th is such a time. I recognize we all have busy schedules, but let me urge you to be a part of the bonfire fellowship out at Troxells. I hope (and pray) the weather cooperates with our activity.
So jot down the time – 5 pm. Circle the date on your calendar.
This is a time we don’t have to be together but get to be together as God’s family. Bring a lawn chair and a dish to pass. Church will provide the beverages, hot dogs and buns along with plates and napkins. This is family time – a time for us to reflect on all he has done for us in Christ – a time to enjoy being with each other.
Our motto – “You belong here” is true.
